I currently have two British Shorthair blue cats named Landy and Lucky. They are so adorable, both in appearance and behavior, that I often tell my partner, "Look how cute our Landy and Lucky are."
I still can't quite imagine how I will cope with the eventual passing of these beloved cats. This mindset is somewhat akin to the difficulty of contemplating the premature passing of one's own children—a thought that is excruciatingly painful.
So, I strive to create a healthy and happy environment for them and pray every day that they live long, fulfilling lives. I've always thought that if I ever have children, I would ensure they grow up with pets. This companionship would teach them about caring and bonding because the presence of pets is truly wonderful.
It's peculiar how it always seems to rain a little around the Qingming Festival, as if to dampen some memories, prompting us to remember the people and events gradually fading from our lives. In sharing these memories, there are tears and laughter, life and death, light and heavy moments, all naturally intertwining.
We understand that the life lessons brought by death are incredibly precious and beneficial. By holding on to these memories and loving the world and the people around us in the best way possible, they never truly leave us.
There will always be farewells and regrets, but there will also always be reunions.
