My alpaca and I embarked on a special mission—decorating our newly renovated old house together. Sunlight streamed through the half-open windows, casting a warm glow on every corner and filling the air with a sense of coziness and anticipation.
I affectionately call my alpaca "Snowball." He quietly lies at my feet, resembling a fluffy white cloud. Whenever I'm busy arranging the bookshelf, placing furniture, or choosing curtains, all I need to do is turn my head slightly to see his bright, soulful eyes. I know that he’s embracing me with his gaze, giving me strength and warmth.
Snowball has been back with us for a week now. After a period of meticulous care, his health has improved significantly, and his spirits are higher than ever. He's starting to show his playful side, often hopping around the room or gently nudging a rug with his nose as if playing hide and seek with me. Seeing his lively and adorable demeanor fills me with immense happiness and satisfaction.
However, amid this happiness, I harbor a deep-seated worry. I know that one day, this furry little sweetheart will leave me for a place I cannot reach. While I wish we could stay together forever, I want even more for him to live a free and carefree life. I can’t bear the thought of him suffering any pain for my sake, nor will I force him to stay because of my reluctance to let go.
Reflecting on the days we've spent together, I deeply appreciate the efforts Snowball has made to adapt to me. He has curbed his natural instincts to fit into human life, accompanying me through many beautiful moments. These memories are my most precious treasures, forever cherished in my heart.
Now, I only wish for my little companion to enjoy every moment of his life. He can run freely on the grass, nap lazily under the sun, and feast heartily. I want him to play joyfully, eat happily, and live a carefree life. If the day ever comes when he must leave me, I hope he doesn't understand the meaning of farewell, but simply remembers our names and drifts off to sleep peacefully.
I firmly believe that in the cycle of life, we will meet again. Whether in heaven or on earth, as long as there is love and memory in our hearts, we will find each other. I will always wait for that day, looking forward to reuniting with my alpaca Snowball under the warm sun.
