I met my little dog when I was at my loneliest. It was a time when I had just started working, suddenly thrust out of my comfort zone, and my life was a tangled mess.
When my emotions reached their peak, I told myself to fulfill one wish.
I had many wishes, but without hesitation, I chose to get a puppy.
I visited many pet shops but couldn’t find the right dog. I was about to give up when the seller sent me another video. The moment I saw Little Maruko, I knew she was the one. The seller mentioned that Maruko was a standard Bichon Frise, but she was small and would remain so, hence she was being sold at a miniature Bichon price.
As he spoke, Maruko curled up in my arms like a little ball, her messy fur sticking out in all directions, unlike her siblings.
Everyone around me advised me to keep looking. They said a lethargic, poorly furred, weak little dog wasn’t worth the price.
But I bought her at the miniature Bichon price. I don’t know why, but when she squirmed in my arms, I heard my heart beat joyfully and warmly. So Maruko came home with me, transforming from a fuzzy little ball to what she is now.
From that day on, Maruko became an indispensable part of my life. I took her through the hustle and bustle of the city, sharing the joys and challenges of work with her. I stood by her during her spaying surgery, soothing her fears and pain with love. When she fell ill, I never hesitated to rush her to the vet, just to see her recover quickly. Whatever I did, she always trusted me unconditionally.
Today, Maruko has grown from that fuzzy little ball into a healthy, lively Bichon Frise. Her presence has taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and companionship. I am grateful to fate for bringing her into my life, for finding the warmest support during my lonely journey.
Little Maruko, my fuzzy little Bichon, you are my most precious treasure and the most beautiful sight in my life.
