Not sure I can use this for training. My dog freaks out over it. However, might consider carrying it when I'm going in areas with stray dogs!

First, this is NOT a replacement for any type of good training. That said, I use this for puppy sitting and training. The beep helped to distract the puppies from doing severe damage like digging. The training tone helped with commands. Charges easily with a USB and holds a charge for 30 hrs.

I have a rescue dog that's a real sweetheart and well behaved indoors, but once he's out in the yard watch out. He's like the Tasmanian Devil from the Bugs Bunny cartoons on steroids.

This little device has been a life saver. Once he starts doing something he shouldn't, a quick tap and he stops. Then there's a treat and some praise and after only a couple of days his outdoor behavior is almost as good as when he's in the house.

I really like that this also has an audible beep in addition to the ultrasonic. I use the ultrasonic if he's doing something wrong that I can correct, and I use the audible beep as a recall to get him to come to me.

I like that it has a wrist strap so I can have it handy without having to constantly hold it, and if I want to just have it handy, it's small enough that I can just slip it into a shirt of pants pocket.

This has been one of the quickest and most effective training tools I've ever used.

I hate using a shock collar because I feel like it may be hurting them if it's used wrong, even if on accident so I wanted to try this to help my fur-baby from barking and being a nuisance. Well this thing works great and I felt okay using it like I wasn't hurting them but helping to train them into not being barkers.
They could be outside in the far back and I could use this on the lowest setting and they'd stop barking and when they heard me calling their command would come right to me.
For training purposes it works great! Kind of crazy but it also seems to help the neighbors dogs, who bark all night long and even during the day....and again I don't have to feel like I'm being mean or cruel to my animals.
It is made well, of a good material and it even came with the batteries and nice clear instructions. Also side note, my sister-in-law seen how well it worked and ordered one for my niece who just had a baby and has been having a rough time with neighboring dogs barking constantly and keeping up the newborn. This is a great thing to have!

This works on some of my neighbors' dogs. We have a neighborhood full of irresponsible dog owners that let their dogs bark for hours on end. It's gotten worse lately so I purchased it hoping it'd work. It works on some dogs and but does not deter others. It definitely does not go through fence or a physical barricade.
