Mitzi the Russian Blue: A Retired Secret Agent with a Hidden Agenda

It’s rare for a cat to come when called. But Mitzi isn't just any cat—she’s a Russian Blue with thirteen years of top-secret missions under her belt... or should we say, under the bed.

Now residing in Bucharest, Romania, Mitzi has spent years crafting multiple undercover identities. Whether she’s responding to names like Mimi, Fluffy Sweetie, or My Little Doughnut, she always plays her role to perfection.

But behind her plush silver fur and calm demeanor lies a career few would suspect.

Life on a Covert Mission

Mitzi’s most recent assignment involved a high-profile figure—her human Alexa Niculae, a celebrated Romanian artist, composer, and TV personality. Alexa has been touring the country with a national production of Frozen, playing Princess Anna.

Though Mitzi couldn’t join due to travel constraints, she considers this an unofficial retirement. Assigned to Alexa in 2014, Mitzi now dedicates her time to household surveillance, long naps in closets, and making sure her human never forgets who's in charge.

Even in retirement, she keeps sharp: practicing acrobatics on the living room rug or disappearing into the shadows when strangers arrive.

Ninja Reflexes, Gentle Soul

Despite her graceful nature, Mitzi has a serious edge when feeling threatened.

Once, a small visiting dog triggered her instincts. Hidden beneath the couch, Mitzi leapt into action—literally—scratching the startled pup’s face. The gentle feline had turned into a fierce protector in seconds, shocking everyone in the room.

Alexa, now fully aware of Mitzi’s ninja past, thinks twice before introducing “playmates.”

Mission-Ready Grooming Rituals

Even elite agents need self-care.

To keep her luxurious coat soft and mat-free, Mitzi enjoys grooming sessions with a  gentle pet grooming brush for sensitive skin . The fine bristles help remove loose fur while offering a calming massage—ideal for aging cats or felines who dislike harsh combs.

And for special days (or surveillance with flair), Mitzi dons her custom cat wig —a quirky tribute to her many alter egos. Whether it’s a photo session or just silently judging from under the bed, she wears it like a crown.

What Mitzi Taught Her Human

Alexa reflects:

“Caring for a cat like Mitzi made me more patient and observant. You learn to read subtle cues, respect space, and respond with love. Even though she’s a bit moody, that’s part of her charm—and it teaches you a lot about people, too.”

Honor Your Cat’s Personality

Every cat is unique—some are ninjas in disguise, others are couch potatoes with strong opinions. But all of them deserve love and care tailored to their needs.
