On a peaceful night, with the sky shimmering with stars, a soft mist gently cloaked the edges of our little town, making the world seem to be bathed in a mysterious calm. My daughter Lily, a little girl with an endless fascination for the night sky, quietly slipped out of the house, clutching a homemade glow lantern, and set off toward the star-lit fields. Her destination was a fabled meadow where the brightest stars were said to be visible, her heart brimming with curiosity and a yearning for the unknown.
But Lily wasn’t alone on this adventure. Our old cat, Mimi, had silently followed her, moving with a quiet grace, her eyes gleaming with a spark that wasn’t there in the daylight. Although Mimi was getting on in years, her eyes, sharp as ever, pierced through the darkness, revealing secrets hidden in the night. And unbeknownst to Lily, I quietly trailed behind them both.
Lily spread out a blanket on the grass and gazed up at the star-filled sky, pointing out one star after another, weaving stories of interstellar adventures. Mimi sat beside her, occasionally glancing up at the stars, as if listening to every word, her eyes shining with a gentle warmth.

It was a natural phenomenon—star reflections that could only be seen under the right angle and weather conditions. Lily was rendered speechless with wonder, while Mimi softly rubbed against her leg, as if to say, “Look, this is the secret I wanted to share with you.”
From that night on, Lily and Mimi developed a special bond of trust and friendship. Whenever the night fell, they would secretly meet by the pond, enjoying their private starlit spectacle.
