Luckypet JUST DONATED 38,640 MEALS TO SHELTER ANIMALS FOR MASK ORDERS FROM THE MONTH OF JULY!

We’re here to announce of July 2024 Shelter Donations! In a bid to help struggling animal shelters during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have set up a campaign to provide customers with masks and shelters with meals. Shelters across the country are experiencing high pet surrender rates as families struggle to find the resources to properly care for their pets.

"Cover Your Meowth" Cat Face Mask

Launching new products, the Dog Fashion Face Mask and the Cat Fashion Face Mask, gives us an opportunity to offer cute and fun mask options to people while also being able to provide help to shelters. This campaign is set up to make sure that a portion of each mask purchased is donated to a shelter to be used in providing them with much-needed meals.

Connecting with the community, we are taking recommendations for shelters that are in the most need right now. If you know of a shelter that could really use the help during this pandemic, please email your recommendation to  blog@pethandmade

The shelters that have been donated to for the Month of July are:

We also donated to our recurring shelter partner  The Arrow Fund .

A private donation was made through their websites. At the current factor of money to meals, the total is 38,640 meals for shelter pets! We are especially thankful for the people who sent in their nominations, helping them better connect to communities across the country.

One of this month’s shelters that we are donating to is  Harley’s Dream  in Berthoud, Colorado. Their mission is to create awareness and educate the public about the cruel commercial dog breeding industry (also known as puppy mills) and to rescue and rehome senior dogs in need. The shelter was established in honor of Harley, a senior one-eyed puppy mill survivor who became the face and voice of the puppy mill dogs, earning the distinction of being the 2015 American Hero Dog for his work.

Harley’s Dream helps dogs like Cookie, a tiny chihuahua that’s had a rough life. When they rescued her it was apparent that she’d had little or no human contact. At only 3.5 lbs, she had litter after litter of puppies. Immediately upon rescue, they raced her to the veterinary hospital for life-saving pyometra surgery. And as soon as she was able to travel, they brought her from California to Harley’s House of Hope in Colorado.

She’s sweet,  smart, and fearful – but quickly figures out who she can trust. She’s (mostly) housebroken, lets you know when it’s suppertime, and really loves being carried around.  Cookie needs a home where she can be somebody’s special little girl. To follow the journeys of their rescued dogs, join the Harley’s House of Hope group here:   https://www.facebook.com/groups/harleyshouseofhope

If you’d like to support Harley’s Dream and their mission, you can contact them at  info@harleysdream.org  or make a donation at  https://harleysdream.org/donate/

Please continue sending in your nominations for the coming months as we stand together to battle the effects of this deadly virus on our country, people, and pets. A portion of mask sales will continue to be donated for as long as mask supplies last so be sure to order yours soon.
