A Warm Encounter with Changle: Three Years of Rescue and Companionship

Before Changle, I had always wanted a Papillon, but fate had other plans. I found Changle lying on the roadside, barely alive after being hit by two cars. Even now, she limps on one leg and is missing four teeth. But fortunately, she survived.

Today marks the beginning of our third year together. Honestly, from the moment I first saw Changle to deciding to adopt her, it only took a few seconds. During this time, we’ve shared many beautiful moments. To preserve these precious memories, I reached out to Luck’s renowned hand-painted artist, Lucy, to create custom pet portraits for us. The frames capture us walking together at sunset, with her eyes filled with warmth and trust. Every time I see these paintings, I feel happiness and warmth.

Changle is an understanding little dog. Perhaps her early experiences made her cherish her current happiness even more. She fears the sound of children, always leaves some food behind, and sniffs everything cautiously before eating. Her dependence on me is strong; when we go out, she ensures she can always see me, following closely behind. Whenever I’m out of her sight, she anxiously runs to find me, fearing abandonment.

Living with Changle, I’ve experienced the joy and responsibility of raising a life. She has provided immense emotional comfort, giving me a sense of happiness and fulfillment I’ve never felt before. I do my best to give her love and care, making her feel the warmth of a home. Although Changle doesn’t have the glamorous appearance of other dogs, her eyes are filled with trust and reliance on me. Her smile is the purest I’ve ever seen. Every time I see her transition from a worried frown to twinkling eyes and a wide grin, I feel the power of saving a life.

To give Changle a better life, I chose to have her undergo a minimally invasive spay surgery. Despite the cost, I believe it’s the best way to care for her. Now, Changle is healthier and more lively, becoming a vibrant part of my life. Her skills as a watchdog are also commendable; whenever the weather is good, she lies at the door, serving as a little dog doorbell.

Our story continues, with us accompanying and growing with each other. In the days to come, I will continue to give her endless love and care, making her feel the warmth and happiness of home. Changle, in return, will repay all my efforts with her loyalty and companionship. Our emotional bond will only grow stronger, becoming an indispensable part of each other’s lives.
