I am Edmund, a teenager with autism. My world has always been silent and lonely until my cat, Hellen, came into my life.
In the past, I was bullied at school because of my frail and timid nature. After my parents separated, they each started new families, leaving my feelings unnoticed. I was afraid to communicate with people, dreading their unpredictable reactions and stares. However, Hellen, my cat, became my only solace.
Hellen is a cat with snow-white fur and eyes like two sparkling sapphires, deep and gentle. Whenever I felt anxious or lonely, she would quietly come to my side, her soft fur and warm body dispelling the coldness in my heart.
One particularly sunny day, I was sitting alone in my rocking chair, filled with confusion and helplessness. I hugged my knees tightly, as if that could shield me from the indifference of the outside world. Suddenly, I heard a light jumping sound. Looking up, I saw Hellen. She leaped onto the windowsill, then gently jumped down to my feet, gazing at me with her sapphire eyes.
I felt the warmth and care in her eyes, as if she was saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm here." I reached out, gently stroking her fur, feeling its softness and warmth. I began to pour out my heart to her, sharing secrets and pains that I couldn't tell anyone else. It felt so easy and natural to talk to her.
Hellen listened quietly to my confessions, her tail gently swaying, as if responding to my words. I felt her understanding and comfort, and it was as if all my loneliness and confusion were released at that moment.
Sunlight bathed us, creating a warm and beautiful picture. The bond and connection between Hellen and me transcended language, becoming a silent companionship and comfort. In this world full of loneliness and confusion, she is my most solid support and my only friend.
